Riders can take a solo trip down the mountain or link up with your group for a spin down the hill that’s sure to be filled with laughter. Hop on the Magic Carpet Lift for an easy trip back to the top. Tickets are available for two-hour tubing sessions. Riders must be 42 inches tall. 2. Rock Climbing
Climb, swing and jump the day away. The fun is non-stop at Pocono Rocks in Mount Pocono. The centerpiece of the family fun center is a 16-foot-high climbing wall. If you’re not a fan of heights, you can opt for the ninja warrior obstacle course or one of the many bounce houses.
3. Ice Skating

If Lake Wallenpaupack has not completely frozen, head to some of the smaller bodies of water in the area. There are two lakes within Promised Land State Park– 422-acre Promised Land Lake and 173-acre Lower Lake. An area on the ice is maintained for skaters. There’s a picnic area next to the lake, so you can pack some hot chocolate and snacks to enjoy. An online winter report is updated weekly, which details the conditions and thickness of ice. It’s recommended for ice to be at least seven inches thick to support a small group. Promised Land State Park is just eight miles from Silver Birches Resort.
4. Bowling
Find out who’s the kingpin of the family! Bowling is a sure-fire way to spend quality time with the family. Wallenpaupack Bowling and Sports Center is a small-town attraction, perfect for a day, or evening out. The lights go down and the music comes up for Cosmic Bowling every Friday and Saturday. 5. Where’s Wilburrrr Scavenger Hunt
Visit the shops, restaurants and businesses around Hawley in search of Willburrrr the Snowman from February 10-19. When you spot the frosty friend at participating businesses, get your playing card stamped at the location. Completed cards should be returned to Downtown Hawley Partnership for a chance to win one of several prizes and gift certificates.
