Deposit and Cancellation Policies – Guest Rooms

  • Off-Season Deposit(Tuesday after Labor Day Weekend to Thursday before Memorial Day Weekend excluding all Holiday weekends):
    All reservations will have a deposit of one night’s room and tax charged 7 days in advance of arrival date.
  • Off-Season Cancellation:
    If cancelled within 7 days of arrival, the deposit will be collected as the cancellation fee.
  • In Season Deposit(Memorial Day to Labor Day Weekend):
    All reservations will have a deposit of one night’s room and tax charged 10 days in advance of the arrival date.
  • In-Season Cancellation:
    If cancelled within 10 days of arrival, the deposit will be collected as the cancellation fee.
  • Holidays and High Demand Summer Weekends:
    All reservations will have a deposit of one night’s room and tax charged at the time of the booking.
    Holidays include: Memorial Day Weekend, 4th of July Holiday, Labor Day Weekend, Columbus Day Weekend
    High Demand Summer Weekends:
    Sleepaway Camp Visiting Weekends (Dates Vary)

  • Cancellation Policy
    If cancelled prior to 10 days of arrival, the deposit will be refunded.  If cancelled within 10 days of arrival, the deposit will be collected as the cancellation fee.

“No Show” Policy:

  • In the event of a “no show” the entire amount of your reservation will be charged to the credit card on file.  Special promotions and offers may have different cancellation policies.

Retreat Suites –

April 1st-Columbus Day

  • A non-refundable deposit equal to 50% of the total cost of the reservation and a signed rental agreement are due upon booking.
  • Balance is due 30 days prior to check-in.
  • No refunds will be extended if reservation is cancelled within 30 days of arrival.
  • If a reservation has been paid in full, and cancellation is made 30 days prior to check-in, a 50% refund will be issued.

Columbus Day-March 31st

  • We do NOT require a non-refundable deposit or signed rental agreement at time of booking.
  • Balance is NOT due 30 days prior to check-in.
  • All reservations will have a deposit of one night’s room and tax charged 7 days in advance of the arrival date.
  • Cancellations are accepted without penalty up to 7 days prior to check-in.
  • If cancelled within 7 days of arrival, the deposit will be collected as the cancellation fee.

Cottages and Houses –

Year Round

  • A non-refundable deposit equal to 50% of the total cost of the reservation and a signed rental agreement are due upon booking.
  • Balance is due 30 days prior to check -in.
  • No refunds will be extended if reservation is cancelled within 30 days of arrival.
  • If a reservation has been paid in full, and cancellation is made 30 days prior to check-in, a 50% refund will be issued.

Houses

Check-In: 4:00 PM – 9:00 PM                                Check-Out: By 10:00 AM

If you would like to stay later than your check out there is a changing room at the Inn.

Policies

Smoking Policy:

We are a non-smoking property. This also includes vaping.

Dog Policy:

We have numerous dog-friendly rooms available for our guests. The maximum number of dogs allowed in the room is two.

Available Accommodations and Pricing:

  • Lakeshore Building for an additional $35.
  • Cottages and Retreat for an additional $100.
  • Houses for an additional $300.

An extra $10 fee will be charged for additional dog – up to a maximum of two.

Please call the property to verify the accommodation you are wanting to reserve is dog friendly.

Cleaning Fee:
At Settlers Hospitality, we’re investing in our team by launching programs that enable our staff to live and play in the community where we work. As part of that commitment your housekeeping service charges are included in your folio. Therefore, any additional gratuities while appreciated, are discretionary.

Our per stay cleaning fees are:

  • $7.50 per Guestroom
  • $15 for Suites at the Retreat at Millbrook Cove
  • $50 for Cottages
  • $325 for our Singer Lane Houses, Sunset House, Paupack Lodge and Fairview House

Important Notes:

  • 6% State Sales Tax and 3% Hotel Tax will be added to the bill and are subject to change without notice.

Settlers Cares Donation:

A $1 charitable donation is added to each guest reservation to support our non-profit, Settlers Cares. The Settlers Cares Foundation was created to help employees or affiliates who are facing financial hardship due to unexpected life events. The goal is to provide short-term, emergency support to employees or eligible dependents.
