If you’re looking for some indoor winter activities in PA, you won’t have to search far! Hawley Silk Mill is one of the best places to visit to escape the winter chill. As far as shopping in Hawley, PA, goes, you won’t find a better place anywhere else! Have a Skiing Adventure
Whether you prefer downhill or cross-country, there are plenty of great opportunities for skiing in the Poconos. To find winter fun for kids in PA, head to Ski Big Bear, which offers 18 trails for skiing and 500 feet of tubing chutes. The slopes all vary, so you’ll find something for everyone! If you would prefer not to travel with skis, you can rent a pair at Ski Big Bear.
If you prefer cross-country skiing, there are some great spots in the area. Promised Land State Park is about 20 miles from Hawley and offers some great trails for snowshoeing and skiing. This is one of the best places to go in the winter in Pennsylvania! While there aren’t skis for rent at the park, you can borrow a pair of snowshoes at the Promised Land State Park office. Just be sure to bring a photo ID with you and you’ll be on your way to a winter adventure!

Without a doubt, the best cold-weather festival is Hawley Winterfest. This three-day event has been around for over 20 years, transforming our small town into a winter wonderland! The event typically takes place in early December. From carolers to craft festivals, there are so many ways to celebrate the season.
