The Walter and Marilyn Barbe Wayne County Glass Gallery
Just past the first room of the gift shop, the Walter and Marilyn Barbe Wayne County Glass Gallery offers a look back at the glass manufactured in Wayne County’s many glass factories. Believe it or not, there were over 70 glass manufacturers, cutting, and decorating shops were at one time active in the county. In this display, you’ll see 30 of those represented by their glasswork. From a large, dark olive-colored carboy to a bottle and basket from Honesdale Glass Works to a piece of Rockville factory glass, you’ll see a broad range of local glasswork up close and personal.
