Outdoor Activities

The list of things to do on Lake Wallenpaupack is nearly endless. Year-round outdoor activities include fishing, boating, and hiking on lakeside trails. Summertime is perfect for jet skiing, swimming, parasailing, paddleboarding, jet skiing, and more! Local Events

Festivals, concerts, and community events offer an opportunity for you to experience a different side of Lake Wallenpaupack. A few of our favorites include:

Wally Wine Fest– Kick off Spring with the best wine festival in the region! Held each April, Wally Wine Fest, featuring a variety of international and domestic wines in a wine filled weekend. A wine dinner Friday night at The Settlers Inn kicks off the fun as the festival kicks into high gear over the weekend with a seated wine pairing, marketplace, silent auction, beer tasting and more.

Wally Lake Fest – One of the top events on Lake Wallenpaupack is Wally Lake Fest. Held each August, Wally Lake Fest offers nonstop fun and adventure as locals and visitors celebrate summer during events held at locations around town. In the past, the festival fun has included SUP yoga demonstrations on the lake, Hawley Farmer’s Market at Bingham Park, a concert at Silver Birches, Jazz on the Deck at The Settlers Inn and a Lakeside Beach Bash.

Hawley Harvest Hoedown – Held each October, the Hawley Harvest Hoedown is a fun way to kick off fall. Browse the handmade items displayed by local craft vendors and delight your taste buds with a treat from one of the food vendors. There is a farmers market, petting zoo, a pumpkin carving demonstration and plenty of live music for you enjoy. Don’t miss the main event, a bluegrass and folk concert!

Hawley Winterfest – December’s Hawley Winterfest began as a way to showcase the town’s many beautiful Victorian homes as well as a reminder to appreciate the simpler things in life during the holiday season. Winterfest has grown into a large community event that involves Christmas carols, gingerbread house decorating, holiday home tours, horse-drawn carriage rides, and much more.
